Carry the Cross

Last night at our weekly Bible study we had the privilege of watching The Cross - The Arthur Blessit story. What an amazing, eye opening, heart wrenching awakening! This man, was known as the preacher of Sunset Strip in Hollywood, and forty years ago he felt called by God to carry a 12 foot, 45 pound wooden cross through EVERY nation on earth! This movie is the culmination of his 40 year journey. He has walked an equivalent of one and a half times around the glob at the equator, telling all, that Jesus loves them! I am amazed by this, what God can do if we just say yes to Him. It's all about Him, His will and all we really have to do is live in it. We let fear hold us back. When we feel called by God to to something, then we must TRUST that He will provide a way, beyond our circumstances, beyond our reasoning, beyond our fear. He will make a way, He will meet our every need. Arthur said " I would rather die in the will of God, than live outside of it" Do I live like that? No, I spend much of my time trying to figure things out, trying to control my environment and predict the worst case scenario, so that I may be well prepared, right? lol God has called me to adopt, I know this! So He just needs me to stay in His Will and be at His feet, a willing servant. We may not understand the process but that doesn't mean we can't be filled with the Joy of God and enjoy the journey, with great expectation on what He will do next! I am so grateful that we live in a country where we have the freedom to gather and view this beautiful movie. The freedom to share the good news, but as Arthur has proved, our circumstances have nothing to do with it, nor the condition of the world, as he walked with a giant cross through every Muslim nation sharing the good news of Jesus... I pray, Lord, how can I serve you today? Here is a sneak peak at the movie....
