Anticipation…..
“The pink room”….it sits empty and waiting, waiting for the little girls that will bounce and play on the bed, climb under the covers and giggle with joy. Sometimes I pass by and my heart leaps inside at the mere thought of the day that we will tuck them in and kiss them goodnight…Sometimes when I pass by, I think “is this real?” A pink room, in a house full of boys? It makes me laugh when the boys have friends over and as they climb upstairs I’ll hear one say, “dude, why do you have a pink bedroom up here?” I always wait to listen as they explain, “oh, my parents are adopting” My boys have been hearing about this adopting for 2 years and I don’t think it will be real to them until their new little sisters (and possibly brother, (only God knows) are jumping on them to “WAKE UP” You see, my boys would sleep until 2pm if left alone. That will make it ..”REAL” for them…
We are so at peace with our decision to switch agencies and we wait with great anticipation to meet our new little children………….
