Nothing Yet...

No news on a court date as of today! I can’t tell you how hard this wait is. I thought that the wait for a referral was bad, this is SO hard, to know that you have a child or in my case children half way around the world is beyond hard. I just so want them home so we can love on them. Work is keeping me busy and that is good! I have a “girl project” that I am working on for their room, I can’t wait till it’s finished! I will post pictures of it soon.

Theo and I have decided to give the girls American names, (keeping their African names as their middle names) We came to this decision after much thought and prayer. We feel this change is representative of the change that will take place as God calls them to our family and we claim them as our own. The Bible offers examples of God renaming people to reflect a change to their future and a call to His purpose. We are excited to learn and teach them about their culture and their country’s history, we are dedicated to help them know who they are and where they are from. With that said, the names we have chosen are Rachel (T) and Caroline (B) Wheeler!

I designed the canvases you see here for their room!

  1. Hi, Congratulations on your referrals!! I have been following your blog since you were waiting with AA. We were also with AA and are looking for a new agency for our Ethiopia adoption. I am so glad you were able to get your referrals so fast. If you don't mind me asking, which agency did you switch to? You could email me at ehoida@gmail.com. Congrats again. I hope you get your court date very soon :).
